I thought I’d just reflect a short while on all the new and culturally important things the Mansion House has been involved in this past year......the most recent was the amazing Aero Girls exhibition. The first time that the Mansion House has ever been involved in such a project and very fitting it was to as the house is home to the chocolate Mayors! The Aero girl paintings did attract a huge amount of interest both locally and nationally.
And of course there was Pilot Theatre’s blood and chocolate! Again the chocolate theme is there, with the house playing its part as the Rowntrees factory. It truly was a marvellous 3 weeks and the house and team were very proud to be part of the experience.
Last but not least was the houses first theatrical play...this was the Importance of being earnest, directed and produced by the York based Theatre mill. It was simply a magical experience and it was great to see the house used as a theatrical backdrop!
